Berries is a queer feminist hip hop collective that has already shaken things up in the Berlin party scene and will now regularly present films in Moabit. The first film is YOUNG SOUL REBELS (1991, OV), a love story between a punk and a soul boy during the Silver Jubilee in 1976. Music connected people from different subcultures back then, but the couple encounters racism and homophobia in all of them. With YOUNG SOUL REBELS, director Isaac Julien (LOOKING FOR LANGSTON) shot an intense plea for boundary crossing solidarity and love.
