Established in 1913 under the name 'Roland Lichtspiele,' the Eva Lichtspiele is the oldest movie theatre in Wilmersdorf. Following a renovation in the 1920s the theatre was renamed Eva Lichtspiele and started screening films accompanied by music – initially a violinist and later an entire orchestra. A number of the building’s details, such as the elegant, curved neon sign on the façade, take the visitors back to the golden years of twentieth-century cinema.
